‘No frills’ or budget airlines
These are extremely competitive fares that airline companies such as Jet2.com and BMIbaby.com offer by keeping administration costs of bookings as low and as simple as possible.
With all low-cost airlines, ticket prices are cheap and all bookings are made online or via telephone with a credit card. Some credit cards may incur a small booking fee.
Generally speaking, budget airlines do not issue tickets; they tend to be printable e-tickets that are sent directly to your email address and are downloaded. You may be required to present the print-out at the check-in desk although a passport is sufficient as proof of identification. Tickets bought online may be non-changeable and non-refundable.
