Hotel de Lantaerne Amsterdam

This 2 star family hotel is a good choice for those looking for something uncomplicated and reasonably priced close to Amsterdam's nightlife and tourist hotspots. Housed in a typically Dutch 18th century building, Hotel de Lantaerne offers clean, basic accommodation within walking distance of Leidseplein, Vondelpark, the Jordaan and Museumplein, among other Amsterdam attractions.

Location
Leidseplein can be reached from Centraal Station via trams 1, 2 or 5. From the main square, turn right along Marnixstraat and continue on past Melkweg Café. Leidsegracht is the first canal you come to along this street and Hotel de Lantaerne is located in a cosy little cul de sac full of flower boxes and bicycle parking on your right hand side. Reception can be found down stairs through the door facing the canal.

Dining
A continental breakfast is included in the room price and is served next to the hotel's reception area. For lunch, dinner or something a little bit different, guests should explore the area around Leidseplein; with its many cafés, bars and restaurants you can be guaranteed to find something to suit your taste and budget.

Rooms
Hotel de Lantaerne's 28 rooms are split between the hotel's two buildings, Leidsegracht 111 and 117. Both buildings are close to each other and offer the same, mostly canal views from the rooms. Rooms are available to suit from one to five people and all come with ensuite facilities including shower, toilet and hairdryer, as well as a TV and phone.
