Camping Zeeburg Amsterdam
A campsite within city limits of Amsterdam. And it is not a small one. It has capacity for let say 500 tents and 200 camper vans. Plus many various cabins and permanent buildings.
The atmosphere, experience and possibilities are definitely different than when you get accommodated in a hotel. It might be an interesting change to vacation in this way.

Location
The camping site is technically located on an island. Which sounds nice. But this island is still within he city urban area and is separated from other city areas and structures by only a small body of water. So you see bridges, roads, and residential neighborhoods not far from the camping site.
It is also not very far from city center. This can be good or bad. depending on your plans and what kind of vacation are you looking for. If you want to combine camping with museum attraction or pub visits, it can be a positive. The campsite is 10 walk from a tram stop.
Opening hours
The Zeeburg camping is open all year round. This is no typical in Ansterdan campsites.
The reception is open from 8:30 to 20:00. But you can enter and leave the campsite 24 hours a day by using your pass when you are accomodated.
Accommodation types
You can rent various types and designs of cabins. They are for 1, 2 or 4 persons.
You can bring your own camper, caravan or tent.
Sleeping in a hammock or in a car is not allowed.
