Hotel la Boheme Amsterdam
Hotel la Boheme is a charmingly small and friendly 2 star hotel, just off the busy night spot of Leidesplein. Central as it is though, Hotel le Boheme has a very different feel to many Amsterdam city centre hotels. With an emphasis on the personal touch, this little hotel likes to get to know its customers, and even offers a 10% discount for regular visitors.
From Centraal Station, take trams 1, 2 or 5 to Leidseplein. Once you're at Leidseplein Hotel la Boheme is just a short stroll away on Marnixstraat. Take a right turn after the theatre and before Eden Amsterdam American Hotel; Hotel la Boheme will be on your right hand side just before Melkweg Café.

A traditional Dutch style all you can eat breakfast buffet is included in the room price and is served in the bar / reception until 11:00. Here you can find two types of bread, Dutch crackers, boiled eggs, unlimited juice and coffee as well as anything else to be expected from a continental breakfast buffet. Should you feel like something different, the hotel is right between Melkweg Café and an Italian pizzeria. Between these and the choices available in and around Leidseplein you can guarantee not to go hungry.
Hotel la Boheme has 18 rooms in total - six triple, seven twin, two double and three single. All except the single rooms have private shower and toilet. Single rooms have a washbasin in the room and share toilet / shower facilities, but only with the other single rooms. Rooms come with telephone and TV as standard and an iron or dryer can be requested from reception. The staff want you to feel at home, and so it is also allowed to take drinks from the bar up to the rooms.
While services may not be as all-inclusive as at higher end chain or franchise hotels, Hotel le Boheme does has a good personal offering. A baby sitting service is available for those travelling with children, arguably essential given the proximity to Amsterdam's night spots; while the provision of a front door key for a refundable EUR 20 deposit means that despite the lack of 24 hour reception you can still come and go as you please. For hanging around during the day the hotel staff are happy to offer board games to keep you entertained, if the complimentary wireless internet wont do the job. Many hotel standards such as safety deposit box and luggage storage can also be found here.
