Hotel des Arts feels like a time vehicle taking you back in time. Wooden bulks, thin brick walls, steep stairs, an attic and old furniture. It all seems like from a movie from 1940-ties. Hotel des Arts modest building had been squeezed between two very good department stores – an exclusive Bonneterie and popular Vroom&Dreesmann, V&D. Try food or just grab a delicious sandwich at the animated V&D restaurant called La Place or else take a coffee in the nearby elegant Café De Doelen (Kloveniersburgwal 125).
