Only the luxury cars slowly aiming for a rare parking place and the utterly laid-back people walking leisurely the sidewalks indicate its character.

This is ultimately a very small (12 rooms), great looking hotel. There is some aura of fashion and design about it, the same as in the street outside, but do not expect big spaces, wide open halls or restaurants here – Prestige is – intimate, elegant, putting an accent on the looks. All rooms at the Amsterdam Prestige Hotel are air-conditioned, the towels at Prestige seem bigger that its showers, flat screen TV’s give you the choice from the cable and the Prestige service is second to none – well informed, helpful, polite. But then again – at Prestige they are concierge – like in a Paris flat building, years ago.
