Rooftop square: the roof terrace is freely accessible for everyone. You can find the open-air exhibition Energetica, a large terrace and a restaurant on the roof, all with beautiful views of the city of Amsterdam.

Nemo is a scientific museum where there is so much to explore that you don´t know where to start. The museum can be crowded, so you can buy your Nemo tickets in advance.

There are several cafés and if you prefer to bring your own food, snacking on it is allowed in assigned places. On a sunny day you should picnic out on the large roof terrace.

Opening hours

High season: April to August: every day from 10 am to 5:30 pm
Low season: September to March: closed on Monday

Open on January 1 and December 25.

Closed on march 27.

How to get there

Weather conditions allowing, a walk to Amsterdam NEMO from e.g. the Centraal Station is a nice option. The address is Oosterdok 2 and it’s worth the trip just to view the spectacular architecture and the surrounding piers and ships. Follow the signs for “Route Oosterdok”.
